Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Dream weather, thrilling racing and sold-out grandstands: the LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany thrilled 261,813 spectators - a new record - over the course of the weekend at the Sachsenring. The MotoGP boom at the iconic circuit near Chemnitz continued with a fifth crowd record in a row. For the first time, a single race weekend attracted more than 260,000 visitors to the new Sachsenring, which has hosted the motorcycle world championship since 1998.
The latest record and sold-out grandstands on Saturday and Sunday are emphatic proof of the constant and sustainable growth of the Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sachsenring, which next year celebrates a very special anniversary: 100 years of the Sachsenring. To mark this special occasion, the event programme will feature many attractive campaigns and highlights.
"Enthusiasm for the Motorcycle Grand Prix reached a new level this weekend. 261,813 visitors celebrated a peaceful motorsport festival. The fan culture at the Sachsenring has this year been recognised as Saxon cultural heritage. With this peaceful festival of motor racing, fans spectacularly demonstrated exactly what that culture means. We are now looking ahead to 2027: we are looking forward to 100 years of the Sachsenring, and will celebrate in a way worthy of this anniversary," says ADAC Sport President, Dr. Gerd Ennser.
Tickets for next year go on sale at 16:00 on Sunday afternoon – online at
