Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Promoter Dorna and the International Motorcycle Federation FIM released the provisional MotoGP calendar today. The highlight, from a German perspective, is the Liqui Moly Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany at the Sachsenring from 10th to 12th July 2026. Over the course of the season, the world’s best motorcycle riders will contest 22 rounds in 18 countries on five continents.
The 2026 MotoGP season kicks off from 27th February to 1st March in Thailand. Returning to the calendar is Brazil, where the MotoGP stars will go head to head at round two of the season from 20th to 22nd March. As the twelfth event of the year, the German Grand Prix is the final event before the summer break. The biggest individual sporting event in Germany is a real crowd-puller. A total of 256,441 fans flocked to the Sachsenring from 11th to 13th July this year, setting a new crowd record for the fourth year in a row. The grand finale will take place in Europe, as the curtain comes down on the season in the Spanish city of Valencia from 20th to 22nd November.
