- Home outing for young German riders at the Grand Prix at the Sachsenring
- Three Germans lead the Northern Talent Cup
- Anina Urlaß from Saxony is the only female rider in action
Munich. When the Sachsenring hosts the Liqui Moly Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany from 11th to 13th July, the focus will not be solely on the global stars of MotoGP. The support programme includes the Northern Talent Cup (NTC), which features the next generation of German riders – and they are in impressive form coming into their big home event. In Fynn Kratochwil, Thias Wenzel and Robin Siegert, three Germans from the ADAC talent factory currently occupy the top three places in the championship. Furthermore, the only female racer in action is Anina Urlaß from Saxony.
The young German riders put on a gala display at the most recent race of the season in the Czech city of Most: Fynn Kratochwil won both races in commanding fashion, followed by Thias Wenzel and Robin Siegert, who joined him on the podium. Kratochwil has dominated the season so far – five wins in six races underline his exceptional talent. The 14-year-old from the ADAC Stiftung Sport foundation is in his first year in the Northern Talent Cup, having already won titles in the ADAC Pocket Bike Cup and ADAC Mini Bike Cup. “I am really looking forward to the Sachsenring. That is my home race and I want to be right at the front of the field again,” says Kratochwil, who names MotoGP star Marc Márquez as his role model.
Kratochwil’s closest rivals are also raring to go at their home event: Thias Wenzel – in his second year in the NTC – has established himself as a contender for the podium. Robin Siegert, who was born in Saxony, won the ADAC Mini Bike Cup in 2024 and was named Saxony’s Young Athlete of the Year. Both are looking to use the race weekend on German soil to score valuable points towards the title race.
Anina Urlaß is not only a German rider, but also the only female racer in action. The youngster from Saxony has impressed with three podium finishes, but also suffered a technical retirement in Most. The 14-year-old, who is supported by Motorsport Team Germany, is now looking to make more headlines at her home circuit. The youngest German starter is Tudor DeDea. The rookie has raced internationally in the MiniGP series and is now gaining his first experience in the Northern Talent Cup this season. He also regards the Sachsenring as “the special highlight of the season”.
The talented young Germans are hungry to show just what they are capable of at their home event at the Sachsenring – excitement is guaranteed in the race for the title.
