- Milestone: 25th Grand Prix at the new Sachsenring
- Two MotoGP races at the Sachsenring for the first time
Munich. The date has been confirmed for one of the biggest sporting events of 2023 in Germany: the LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany will take place from 16th to 18th June at the Sachsenring near Chemnitz. The stars of MotoGP, including Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo, will be at the iconic circuit in mid-June, as usual. The Sachsenring will host two MotoGP races for the first time next year: ahead of the Grand Prix on Sunday, the riders will contest a sprint race on the Saturday. Tickets for the motorsport highlight start at € 29 and are already available online at

“With a new crowd record, this year’s LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany proved that it is Germany’s number one motorsport event. We are looking forward to the 25th Grand Prix at the Sachsenring next year, which will take place at the traditional time in mid-June. We are making the Motorcycle Grand Prix even more attractive, particularly for families, with the introduction of new ticket deals,” says ADAC Sport President Dr. Gerd Ennser.
This year’s German round of the MotoGP season was one for the history books. World champion Quartararo ended the winning run of absent superstar Marquez, while records tumbled on the track and in the grandstands. A total of 232,202 spectators at Germany’s largest sporting event transformed the Sachsenring into a bubbling cauldron of atmosphere.
Next year, the new “Friday-for-all” ticket is set to ramp up the atmosphere as early as the Friday. The ticket costs € 29 and allows the ticket holder access to the standing area and any available grandstand seats on the Friday. Families will also benefit: access to the standing areas is free for under 14s. The new children’s grandstand ticket for fans under 14 years of age offers a 50 percent discount for stands T2, T4, T7 and T13 when purchased in advance. This offer applies to the ticket categories Platinum (three-day ticket) and Gold (Saturday and Sunday). Available for the first time is the Flex-Ticket, with a free choice of seating on the Friday, a seat in the Dekra stand T13 for qualifying and the sprint race on the Saturday, and the Honda stand T7 on Sunday.
