- € 9 ticket allows cheap and environmentally-friendly travel to the circuit
Hohenstein-Ernstthal. There is less than two weeks until one of the highlights of the sporting year in Germany: the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany (17th to 19th June). We have summarised all the important information for fans here:
Travel and parking:
MotoGP fans travelling to the Sachsenring from the south, east and north can approach the free car park P12 from the A72 motorway. The Stollberg-West exit and the B180 will take them directly to the car park. Spectators approaching from the west can take the Wüstenbrand exit on the A4 motorway. Directions are available online at
adac.de/motogp.
From Friday to Sunday, a free shuttle bus service will run from car park P12 to the Sachsenring at regular intervals from 05:00. The special car park P11 is best reached from the A72 – via the Stollberg-West or Hohenstein-Ernstthal exits.
The € 9 ticket also allows MotoGP fans cheap, comfortable and environmentally-friendly travel on public transport. The Sachsenring is about a 15-minute walk from the station in Hohenstein-Ernstthal.
Camping:
Camping is possible at Ankerberg (ankerberg-festival.de).
Coronavirus restrictions:
There are currently no coronavirus restrictions regarding admission to the event site.
Event programme:
From the open-air cinema on the weekend before the MotoGP event, and the Charity Run on Wednesday, to the Red Bull racing circus, the Ankerberg Festival and events in the karting hall, the programme at the Sachsenring is typically diverse and entertaining. Lost property office:
The lost property office is located at Wüstenbrander Straße 8. It is staffed at all times and can be reached by phone on 03723/4411270.
Info hotline:
Should fans have any questions regarding the Motorcycle Grand Prix, the info hotline is available daily from 08:00 to 19:00 on 03723/8099111 or 0176/66556526.
Service points:
Service points have been set up at the box offices at car park P11 and the main entrance on Goldbachstraße for any ticketing queries and for purchasing tickets for wheelchair users/people with disabilities. The opening hours are 06:00 to 18:00 on Friday and Saturday, and 06:00 to 14:00 on Sunday.
Tickets:
Tickets are available online at
adac.de/motogp. Online purchase with a mobile ticket, or tickets to be printed at home, is possible until the start of the MotoGP race on Sunday. Tickets are still available for the Sunday. Tickets can also be purchased at the box offices at car park P11 and next to the main entrance on Goldbachstraße. The box offices are open between 10:00 and 18:00 from Monday to Thursday in the week of the race, from 06:00 to 18:00 on Friday and Saturday, and from 06:00 to 14:00 on Sunday.
Tickets purchased for the 2020 and 2021 Motorcycle Grands Prix are valid for the 2022 race weekend and need not be exchanged.
Ticket exchange for plastic tickets:
Fans can swap their paper tickets for plastic tickets, for a fee of € 5, next to the main entrance on Goldbachstraße. Tickets can be exchanged on Thursday between 10:00 and 18:00, from 06:00 to 18:00 on Friday and Saturday, and from 06:00 to 14:00 on Sunday.
