- Scores of Motor Sport Icons Mingle with the Fans at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland
- Rolling Autograph Session in Original Vintage Rally Cars
Munich/Trier, 16 August 2014 – Not only will the ADAC Rallye Deutschland lure rally fans to Trier and the surrounding area, but it will also be the setting for a unique, historic meeting of yesterday’s motor sport heroes:
Jacky Ickx, Stig Blomquist, Hannu Mikkola, Michele Mouton, Ari Vatanen, Juha Kankkunen, Per Eklund, Timo Salonen, Armin Schwarz, Harald Demuth, Kalle Grundel, Dieter Depping and Klaus Fritzinger – they will all come to the German FIA WRC event.
These legends will bring their original, vintage rally cars in which they will treat the fans to a “rolling” autograph session at the Arena Panzerplatte on Saturday (23 August 2014, 13:00-14:00 hours). The former world champions and motor sport icons will drive around the course in their classic rally cars and stop at spectator points to oblige their fans with autographs on the spot.
On top of that, the exclusive line-up of original rally cars will be a feast for the rally fans’ eyes and ears: Audi S1, Audi A2 quattro Gruppe B, Audi 200 quattro “Safari”, Pierburg-Golf I, Golf II GTI Bandama, Rallye Golf G60, MG Metro 6R4, Toyota Celica Turbo, Toyota Corolla WRC, Opel C Kadett GTE, Opel 72er Commodore GS/E – these cars are automotive milestones of rally history.
In addition to the rolling autograph session on the Panzerplatte, the rally legends will also gather on the stage at the Trier Service Park later that night (19:45 hours) to give the fans yet another opportunity to collect some of the most coveted signatures in rally sport.
