Munich. The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) will stop off in Germany again next year. The ADAC Rallye Deutschland, the German event of the FIA WRC, will be the 10th of the 14 WRC events in 2019 and take place between 22 and 25 August. The World Motorsport Council (WMSC) of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) confirmed the date at its meeting in Paris on Friday. The ADAC Rallye Deutschland has been on the WRC calendar since 2002 and will return to the Saarland and its neighbouring regions in 2019. This year, a total of 226,000 spectators attended the ADAC Rallye Deutschland.
"We are happy to welcome the FIA World Rally Championship at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland again next year. As a major German sporting event, the ADAC Rallye Deutschland provides a mix of challenging Special Stages and a compact, spectator-friendly design, worthwhile for fans to return to it in 2019," said ADAC Sport President Hermann Tomczyk.
